Our guides are local Masai warriors, and grown up in & around Mara. They are qualified & certified from KATO and has years of experience working with professional photographers. They understand very well about light direction & placement of safari vehicle, to get best photography angles.  What we’ll see and photograph:

This safari will take us to one of the best wildlife photography destinations in Africa, Masai Mara National reserve. It is a dream destination for wildlife photographer, as no other place in Africa boasts the density and verity of animals then Masai Mara. We'll photograph the famous big cats, Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs, but we shall also seek opportunities to photograph the equally fascinating small cats, Caracals and Servals. In this period the great migration will be in Mara, giving opportunity to see 1.5milion wildebeest, zebra, antelopes, giraffe and other animals walking across the plains or the magnificent river crossings, one of the most amazing natural spectacles on earth.

To make use of first day morning light while travelling to Mara from Nairobi by  road, we will take detour of 1/22hr towards Lake Naivasha for boat safari. Lake Naivasha is fresh water lake, which host large variety of bird life and hippos. 2 hrs boat rides will provide excellent opportunity to capture iconic African fish Eagle hunting fish, we will also get opportunity to capture hippos at low level.

Optional Park Visit: Lake Nakuru: Those who are very much interested in Rhino ( Black & White), can visit optional tour to Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru doesn't have flocks of thousand of flamingo now, but bird life is still amazing. Though we are seeing Black Rhino is Masai Mara from last 3 years, but their numbers in single digit and sighting is challenging.

Amboseli National Park: Those who are very much interested in African Elephants, Amboseli is place for you.  Often called the 'Land of Giants' – due to the impressive elephants here carrying massive tusks – the animals are set against breathtaking vistas of Mt Kilimanjaro, which makes an awesome backdrop to the small park.  Though it seer luck to see snow covered peak of Kilimanjaro in open, but large heard of elephants feeding is marshes is common sight.

Accommodation:

We have chosen a Private Camp  “Malaika Bush Camp” run by  Masai’s who has years of experience as Guide & nature photographer. The Camp has a unique, fantastic location in the Masai Mara. It is located right on the Mara River in the heart of the Masai Mara Reserve. During WAP event this whole camp will be exclusively for us.

Camp has 7 guest tents with en-suite toilet and shower, big and comfortable beds. Tents are different and tastefully decorated in an African theme. The tents have an excellent and amazing position right beside the Mara River.

Here you can enjoy freshly made delicious food by our chef. We offer international as well as Kenyan cuisine. . Due to its location it’s ideally suited for early game drives without wasting most promising time in travel to the reserve. Only few step outside the camp you will see Giraffe, antelopes, leopard, lion and with quick access to the main river crossing points.

Testimonials

Spent a week with Yashpal rathore in Masai mara to witness the annual wildebeest migration in yr 2013. This was my first visit to the Mara, I opted for Yashpal as our mentor to see the Mara as he sees it. We stayed near the junction of the Talek and the Olare orok rivers right in the heart of the Mara in a small camp, comfortable and right in the heart of the action.

We were a group of four and Yashpal accompanied us to the safari and we driven by Simon, our Masai Guide. Usually the safaris were full day, every moment spend on safari was worthwhile, light was fantastic, wildlife was in abundance and Yashpal and Simon could be relied upon to place the vehicle in anticipation of a likely photo-opportunity.

I would have no hesitation to recommend Yashpal as a mentor for anybody planning to visit MARA, his organization Nature glimpses can be relied upon to give the highest level of customization possible in the most reasonable price. Yashpals planning and co-ordination with the local guides and camp managers was perfect and we were specially looked after, including a special Indian meal right in the heart of MARA under a starlit sky with the constant snorting of the Hippos in the pool below.

I would like to take this opportunity & chance to thank Mr Yashpal Rathore, for such an amazing experience we had in Kaziranga last week ( Feb 2014). Everything was planned to minute detail and all the logistics were perfect. Timing was superb & we could easily record 40+ photographable species in birds & off course innumerable photo opportunities for mammals. Yashpal is a no nonsense guy, knowing him from last 2 years, I have understood that he organizes things only for serious nature photographers. I can vouch for the economics of the whole trip which was very reasonable....Cheers
